3 Simple And Logical Reasons To Write Under A Pen Name
#1 You can hide your work from your wife.
I always preferred to publish my content under a pen name, for a variety of reasons.
I love the power provided by anonymity. I can badmouth anyone, even my wife.
That was the main reason why I decided to use a pen name in the first place. I did not want her to read my content and kick my ass every time I write something about her.
My top reasons for writing under a pen name are the following:
You can hide your work from your wife
I know I already wrote about this, but it’s very important. My main reason for using a pen name is to hide from my wife. She does not know how to fight, but she has a big mouth and can be very loud.
You don’t have to discuss your work unless you want to
I don’t like receiving other people’s opinions regarding the content I create. I sometimes discuss different things with friends or family, but only if I choose to do so.
People tend to provide unsolicited advice and I honestly hate that.
You don’t like your real name
Maybe you simply don’t like your real name. I find this a reason good enough to choose to publish your work under a pen name.
Or maybe, despite liking your real name, it is already used by a public figure and you want to avoid confusing people.
Are you publishing content under a real name or a pseudonym?
