10 Things That Keep Me From Performing Better When Working in Teams
Just to be sure you are getting it right, I m not referring Microsoft Teams, but to work in teams, with other people, at my day job.
In this article, I will write down a list of 10 things that sometimes sabotage the teamwork at the office. The article is written from a Team Lead at an outsourcing company.
So, are you ready? Let’s start.
Brainstorming more than necessary
Don’t get me wrong, I love exchanging ideas with other specialists on subjects that I am interested in, but this should be done right. It is very frustrating and exhausting to over discuss things and never get to a conclusion. Even though the ideas may be good, not getting to a conclusion and deciding what to do next only causes problems and makes people frustrated.
To be praised excessively
I think that it does not help me at all if I am told that I am the smartest and the best at what I do too often. I like being appreciated, but I am also capable of evaluating my work, so it is not needed. Sometimes, I get praised when I think I had performed in a mediocre way and this makes me feel frustrated.
